Science events with the Pasadena Unified School District
The Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) runs science events to expose K-12 students to a variety of topics in STEM. I am always trying to develop new, hands-on projects and demonstrations about oceanography and climate science for the students.
Float adoptions with the Southern Ocean Carbon and Climate Observations and Modeling program
The SOCCOM program has extensively expanded our observations across the Southern Ocean with the deployment of hundreds of biogeochemical-Argo floats. Each float is adopted by a classroom and we decorate the float in order to show off their school pride!
